ClickBank is one of the top affiliate marketing networks out there on the planet. It’s actually the first platform that people that beginner affiliate marketers encounter.
To be honest, there’s a lot of buzz around the platform and often, newbies don’t get to know the information that they should.
I’ve been a ClickBank affiliate myself for the past couple of years and have been able to work closely with the company.
So, in this post, I’m going to answer all of your questions regarding ClickBank or CB and help understand the platform in a non-exaggerated way.
With that being said, let’s not waste any time further and address the common questions about ClickBank…
Is ClickBank Legit?
ClickBank is a completely legit platform that has been around in the digital marketing industry since 1998. It is one of the few affiliate marketplaces in the industry that works transparently on both affiliates’ side and vendors’ side.
This company was founded by two entrepreneurial souls named Tim and Barber. As of now, CB is based in Boise, Idaho.
To be honest, there’s nothing that is not legit on ClickBank. It’s just an affiliate marketplace or network where vendors can run their affiliate programs and affiliates can promote the products to earn commissions.
However, there are a few things that make ClickBank’s marketplace questionable, which I am going to touch on in the next question.
Is ClickBank Safe?
ClickBank is one of the safest affiliate networks on the internet where affiliate marketers of all levels can partner with their favorite vendors to promote products and earn commissions. However, there are a lot of untrustworthy products that make people question the company’s overall credibility.
When you head over to the ClickBank marketplace, you will a lot of salesy products that don’t deliver what they promise.
You have to be extremely careful about choosing products because some of them might have a ‘high gravity score‘ but can be totally trash products. If you pass on this barrier, you won’t have any additional problems with the network at all.

Yes, affiliates can join ClickBank for absolutely free. There is no fee to join the network on the front end. Affiliates can create a lifetime free account to promote various affiliate offers.
However, there is a dormant fee applied to accounts that remain inactive for more than 90 days, and the fee increases even more if an affiliate shows no activity for 180 days and 365 days, respectively. I’ll cover more on this in the further questions.

Most of the time, a beginner will try to promote ClickBank products using Facebook advertisements, Google advertisements, organic social media strategies, and forum marketing.
Some of these methods require a lot of work upfront or a lot of money upfront. Hence, the answer is that it depends!
If you already have a big following, traffic source, or effective social media advertising skills, ClickBank can be a great platform to start.
On the other hand, if you don’t have enough experience in the online marketing world, you should do some research and learn some skills before getting pumped about CB.
