Drip Vs ActiveCampaign: Fully Detailed Non-Bias Review

In this post, I am going to compare Drip and ActiveCampaign and help you decide which is the best automation tool you should be using to get better results with your email marketing campaigns and online business in general.

I will go deep explaining these two tools so make sure you read the full article as it is going to be really insightful.

I won’t waste your time telling you how important building an email list or email marketing is, let’s get right into the details for you to choose the right option.

Drip Vs. ActiveCampaign: Deliverability

So, bother the tools are amazing with a lot of nifty features as you know. But the first thing that has to be cared about the most while choosing your automation software is the deliverability.

There’s no point in fancy features if you end up hitting the promotions tab. A good automation service will let you reach the inbox so that your subscribers actually read those emails and take action.

So, if we talk about deliverability, ActiveCampaign beats Drip. And not only Drip but every other email automation software out there on the planet.

ActiveCampaign has a 96% deliverability rate whereas Drip has only 89.8% (test conducted by EmailToolTester).

Therefore, through an aspect of reach, ActiveCampaign always wins no matter what other email automation software you are using.

That doesn’t mean Drip is not worth it. Just that ActiveCampaign is a little bit better in the terms of reaching the inbox.

Important Details About Drip

Drip has been around in the marketing industry for a while now and has proved itself as one of the top email marketing tools out there.

With great speed, user-experience, and value provided by the tool, it actually stands out. But I must point out that Drip isn’t a beginner level email marketing tool.

If you just have the goal to connect with your email subscribers, grow your list, and send broadcasts, it might not be the best option for you.

So, talking about the features, Drip has got so many powerful aspects like the automation is super easy to set up in just a matter of clicks.

The interface is quite clean and fast enough. If you want to choose any actions, you just want to click a simple button and everything is just so visual and smooth.

Most of the autoresponders are too laggy to work with. But that’s not the case with Drip at all. You can choose the goals and customize everything easily.

Just like other tools, you also get to create various types of email opt-in forms so that you can get the most out of your email marketing strategy.

If you have used tools like GetResponse and AWeber, it just feels like throwing off the laptop while designing sign-up forms.

But Drip has worked really well to provide the best user-experience while designing forms in a matter of clicks quite creatively.

Other than this, you have full control while designing your email templates and I just can’t emphasize the great speed it provides.

Just like other tools, you get a set of templates to make it easy for you to design the broadcast emails quickly.

All the advance features like segmenting, campaign creation, and insights are available in the software.

The reports are quite clear and provide a lot of useful data.

Overall, I’m really impressed with Drip and it’s a great fit for established marketers, blogger, or individuals.

Important Details About ActiveCampaign

ActiveCampaign has been the favorite email marketing tools for most of the marketers and businesses for a long period of time.

The trust, quality, and interface is top-notch in this software and it has proved itself the best in most of the aspects.

Whether you are a beginner with a small list and budget or you have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, ActiveCampaign is always the best.

I’m not saying it on the fly, it has been proved and you will hear it from everybody else that knows email marketing.

The best thing that I love the most about it is the autoresponder. The finest in the industry.

If you don’t know much about automation strategies, you are free to import automations according to your needs such as product-interested follow-up, engagement tagging, and loads more.

If you use it once, you will never want to leave ActiveCampaign because of the simplicity it has and the time it saves while designing your workflows.

Just like other tools, you have email templates to select and get your task going quickly.

But ActiveCampaign takes it to the next level. There are just so many that you can choose from.

The simple ones, the fancy ones, the ones that convert really well, and the ones from your past campaigns as well.

You have six types of campaigns to choose from while creating one. Which is really powerful and makes it easy to categorize and do things your way.

You also have four types of sign-up forms to create according to the requirements.

I must say that the speed is not as fast as Drip but it’s not slow either. So, it’s got a decent speed while designing both forms and emails.

And the most important part comes to reports/analytics. You will get to meet the deepest insight in your campaigns and not just the basic ones like in other tools out there.

That’s what I love about it. If you get the right insights, there are always chances to improve what is not working and doubling-down on what’s working for better results in the future. That’s really important.

Drip Vs. ActiveCampaign: Pricing

In terms of pricing, if you have less than 500 subscribers, with Drip, it’s $19/month and with ActiveCampaign, it’s $15/month ($9/month if you go with the annual plan).

Although both the tools have a two week free trial so that you can test and see which one works best for you.

But if you talk about me, I would suggest you go with ActiveCampaign because there’s no such versatile tool like it at the moment.

Also, the features you get for such a price are insane. But at the end of the day, decision if always yours.

Winner and Free Trials

So, after going through everything, I will confidently say that ActiveCampaign is the winner. But once again, that doesn’t mean Drip is not powerful or you should stay away from it.

If you are a big Ecommerce company, Drip is a great solution for you whereas if you need a simple email marketing and automation tool, ActiveCampaign can be a pretty good choice for sure.

Considering the pricing, features, interface, trust, and customer support, ActiveCampaign proves itself better.
