How To See Who Viewed Your Public Profile On Snapchat?

Snapchat is a very unique platform compared to other social media? Its creators saw a lot of potential in smartphone cameras that we all have nowadays.

So much so, that they decided to build a whole community based on it.

Users can send pictures or short videos to each other and share them with the wider community on this platform.

Originally, it was meant as a way to help people learn, communicate, express themselves, and be more present in the world.

As such, Snapchat is a lot of things. But more than anything else, it’s just plain and simple fun.

Now, I don’t think there are many people learning a lot from the 60-second clips you find here.

Tons of people open their cameras, browse through the filters, create videos, and share their snaps with each other every day here.

So, Snapchat is entertaining, if nothing else.

What Is A Public Profile On Snapchat?

Everyone is online nowadays, in one way or another. With all these eyeballs, came a massive wave of digital marketing.

If there is attention to something, surely people will do a lot to fight for that attention.

Whether it’s for monetization, business, philanthropy, or simple satisfaction, a public profile is Snapchat’s way of allowing you to reach more people by sharing your content with the public.

Anyone can sign up for a public profile very easily from their app. Just go to the home, which is the camera page, and tap on the circle with your stories or DP at the top right corner. You can scroll down here to find the option to go public.

Can You See Who Viewed Your Public Profile?

While anyone can start a public profile to increase their reach, it isn’t necessarily a feature for businesses and professional marketers.

Businesses can set up a business account if they are registered and have a tax code. Then they can run advertisements.

But what about public profiles? Well, these are more for people who want to become famous. The answer is:

No, You cannot view exactly who or how many people view your public profile itself.

The app doesn’t have such a feature and you don’t have many alternatives. It is difficult to measure the performance of your Public Profile without metrics of these kinds.

For serious creators who want to grow their following, metrics are very important. The fact is, you will have to do things differently on Snapchat and think out of the box.

The platform is unique and the traffic here is of a very particular type. Measuring your followers won’t cut it in the beginning, I mean you don’t even know who your followers are until you cross the 5,000 mark for your public profile.

Let me give you some suggestions on how you can approximate the success of your public profile.

How To Approximate Public Profile Views On Snapchat

Snapchat does not have a feature that measures your profile views, public or private?

You can choose who sees your stories, your location, and who can reach out to you right from the settings on your profile.

Here are my suggestions for the best ways to judge who is viewing your profile:

1. Your Content Insights

The easiest way to measure your public profile’s performance is through the snaps you are posting.

This is the only metric that Snapchat does provide you, after all.

You can see a full list of who has viewed your stories, and the likes or comments.

There are also Spotlights, which are the showcase of your best Snaps as chosen by your to represent what your page is all about.

You can view all this right here in one place. This is the closest you can get to knowing who has visited your profile if you ask me.

That’s because it is the only real measure that lets you see who has actually interacted with your Snapchat.

If someone has viewed your story, or engaged with your snaps, chances are, they have opened your profile as well.

Since you don’t know who has searched for your name either, this is your best option!

2. Other Interactions

Snapchat is pretty famous for informing people when screenshots have been taken of their online activity. It’s basically become a meme at this point.

The platform is perfect for very personal interaction, with the disappearing messages and screenshot feature.

Many people use it for very personal things as well as it is often found next to Tinder on people’s phones.

So screenshots, chats, and messages from other people who might not be your friends are the next indicator of how popular you are as a public profile.

Now screenshots won’t be reported if the person is using a video recorder app that started recording their screen before they open the app, so people can easily get away with this.

You can also view who has viewed your location from the Snap Map feature of this app.

3. IP Logger Apps

This is the final tip I have for you in this regard. There are many apps out there that allow you to modify and shorten any kind of link and then track the people who click on it.

So you always have the option to make use of those for a more in-depth analysis of your public profile’s traffic and engagement.

It’s not a guaranteed way, though, which is why it’s on the number three spot.

How does it work? Well, you have to choose a link to share in your story. Then you can modify the link on Grabify and post it new link.

The people that click the link will have their IP addresses logged on Grabify.

By checking their IPs you can see where they are from and who they are. You can send them the link through chats as well.

Again, this has little to do with your public profile itself, but it can help you measure your reach and engagement on Snapchat.

In Conclusion

Simply put, there is no way to know who has viewed your public profile. If you want to measure how many people are you able to reach here, the best way to do this is to check your content insights.

You cannot really know if someone is stalking you if they don’t take screenshots or view your stories.

If you want to limit who sees you on Snapchat, simply disable the public profile and change your settings to Friends-only.
