Yes, promoting ClickBank products on Instagram is allowed. Affiliates can send people to affiliate links using Instagram’s various features like the biography of the profile, swipe up stories, and adverts.

Often, if you find some people complaining that IG doesn’t allow CB links on the platform, it might be because they would have spammed the platform with hoplinks (affiliate links) or might have done something very unusual that the algorithm had to flag the website.

Hence, you just need to make sure that you don’t go ahead and spam groups, chats, and stories with a ton of links as this might resent you from posting hoplinks.

I’ll get into the different methods in a moment but there’s a very important step you are going to want to take before you start driving traffic…

You will have to make sure you have created a well-optimized landing page to capture people’s email addresses (leads).

There are a lot of videos on YouTube teaching you how to generate tons of sales by using Instagram for selling ClickBank offers but no one is recommending you to create a fantastic landing page!

Okay…but what do I mean by ‘fantastic’ landing page?

Well, a landing page that is congruent to your affiliate offer as well as Instagram. Don’t get confused…I’m here to explain this in detail here.

When you are creating your landing page, you will have to consider the nature of Instagram’s audience. When people are browsing Instagram, they want to stay on the platform because it is designed to keep users on the platform.

And to be able to break that, a simple ‘put in your email’ landing page won’t work quite well. You will have to get creative and use a small video clip or do something interesting, for the users to forget about Instagram and stick with your offers.

Let’s learn each method step-by-step now;

1. Instagram Theme Pages

The first way you can monetize ClickBank links is via theme pages. If you aren’t aware of what theme pages are, they are Instagram accounts that target one specific audience by creating super-targeted content.

Just for an example, if you want to promote spirituality, you can start an account dedicated to the niche offering valuable content to people.

There are thousands and thousands of theme pages on Instagram that are promoting ClickBank products and making money.

Here are the steps you will need to take to get started:

  • Create a new Instagram business account
  • Optimize the account for better reach
  • Analyze top theme pages in your niche
  • Start posting 3-9 pieces of content per day
  • Send people to your affiliate offers

1. Creating A New IG Business Account

This is the very first step when it comes to theme pages and ClickBank sales. Although you might already know how to create a business account on Instagram but for those of you who don’t know, here’s the process.

First, head over to Instagram and create a regular public Instagram account.

Once that is done, you will have to go to the ‘Edit Profile’ section and you will find an option to switch to a professional account.

There you have it. Your personal account will be converted to a business account in this process.

Now, the next thing you are going to want to do is, optimizing your account.

2. Optimizing The Account

It’s no surprise that Instagram’s algorithm won’t expose your page to its audience if you don’t tell the machine what your account is all about.

So, this time, you will optimize your account according to the niche you’ve chosen. When I say ‘optimize,’ I mean:

  1. Writing a professional biography
  2. Adding a catchy profile picture
  3. Adding a few highlights
  4. Adding a link to your landing page
  5. Following top account within your niche

I don’t think there’s a need to explain all of these. It’s pretty self-explanatory.

3. Analyze The Top Theme Pages In Your Niche

Now that you have completed the second step, you will want to analyze the top theme pages in your niche to see what type of content is working at the moment and which content pieces are driving maximum conversions

For example, if you are in the manifestation niche, you can search for the top account/pages in the business and have a look at what kind of content they’re posting (as shown below).

This will help you get better reach, better engagement, and a better success rate.

When marketers ask people to analyze similar theme pages, what people usually do is start copying/stealing the content and start reposting!

That’s the worst marketing strategy ever. You will have to make sure that you don’t fall into that trap. Feel free to take inspiration from the pages but don’t copy. There’s a big difference between modeling and copying.

Don’t expect to see phenomenal results if you choose the copying method. Try to be creative and put out your own character into the content.

Oh, did I just say content? Well, let’s move on to the next step then…

4. Start Posting Consistently

After you have gotten an idea of what people are doing in the industry to get results, it’s time to take action and start posting content.

You don’t have to spam Instagram with tens and tens of multimedia every now and then but make sure you are adding enough content for people to start following your account, click on your affiliate links, and buy the products.

Ideally, you would post anywhere from 3-9 pieces of content per day. If you personally ask me, I would recommend this strategy:

  • 3 standard posts per day (with hashtags and call to actions (CTAs)
  • 2 reels per day
  • 1 IGTV video a day
  • 1 carousel post
  • 2 engaging stories every 24 hours

Well, this strategy works for me. If you don’t have enough time, you can use another method for growth.

5. Start Driving Traffic To Affiliate Offers

You must be thinking why have I put the money-making step at last, right?

Well, there’s a huge reason behind this! No one is going to follow your account if you start pushing products and services right away.

You will have to dedicate a couple of weeks before you start asking people to visit the links. First, you will have to give, provide value, and then think about taking back.

The best strategy would be to provide non-commercial content until you reach 10,000 followers and then start promoting affiliate products once in a while.

When you utilize this strategy, you will see that not only the audience will keep growing, but consistent sales will also start coming into your ClickBank account.

2. Promotions Via Direct Messages

Another great ClickBank-Instagram method is direct messaging.

Yes, it’s as simple as it sounds but requires a lot of hard work as well as great copywriting skills.

In this method, you will find people interested in your niche either via hashtags, popular accounts, or popular posts…and then start messaging them to check out the products you are an affiliate for.

Here’s what the process looks like:

Step 1: Search for hashtags within your niche (for example, #keto), look at the top-performing posts, and spot people who have engaged with the posts.

Instead of hashtags, you can also search for top accounts in the niche, spot their followers, and start following them.

Step 2: Once you have found out people in the niche, initiate conversations with them via strategic messages.

The reason why I say ‘strategic messages’ is because you don’t want to spend a lot of time talking to people about things that don’t matter in the business.

Here’s a sample of script you can follow:

You: Hey, XYZ

I just noticed you are a fellow buddy looking to lose weight on keto as well! Me too! Let’s connect buddy! Tell me how is it going? Losing some?

XYZ: replies…

You: Hmm…I’ve been tryna’ lose some myself. In fact, it’s two weeks in and already 15 LBS down. I’m so glad I found XYZ’s training program.

XYZ: Oh…tell me more

You: Sure, buddy! (and then own the conversation from there)

Now, it’s just a sample. Every affiliate will have to come up with their own script that resonates with the industry as well as the offer.

If you continue doing this, you will, for sure see a lot of people checking out the offers and some will end up making purchases.

Pro Tip: Be sure to have a super professional profile before you connect with people. No one would want to connect with a creepy profile!

3. Instagram Influencers/Sponsored Posts

  • Use Facebook page if the Instagram page doesn’t have enough followers

Well, that’s all you have got to do. Be informed that Instagram won’t get you results right away. It’s going to take a little bit of time before you will start noticing sales in bulk.
